History
< Shatterface > where formed in March 2000, when Chris Ledward put up adverts and asked around for anyone who was interested in starting a band. The line-up was Chris Ledward (vocals), Lee Shambis (guitar), Ben Coombe (guitar) and Guy Snowden (drums). Due to work and lack of free time, Ben chose to leave, so the remaining three continued, gradually writing songs and trying out various guitarists and bassists for just under a year. Then from out of nowhere, their prayers were answered by James Boote, who had played bass in various other indie/funk bands but had not fully realised his love for metal. The band became < Shatterface > in late 2000, when Chris thought up the name and designed the initial logo. When the rest of the band saw his design, the name stuck. With James came more inspiration and songs, and before long < Shatterface > began to gig.
